Past Festivals

All the following comments are from visitors to the hop festival sent to us via the 2010 website. After them there is a link to a list of the acts we had appearing on our stages and the Morris sides who attended (where the information is available).

Have a read and see what people think…

Absolutely the best weekend of the year by far, if you was to ask anyone they would say the same.It brings people out of their houses who bring along family and friends from all over, and you,ve only got to see the caravans and cars parked anywhere they can, to show the popularity of the hop festival. It must bring in loads of revinue as well. The shows, morris dancers and bands make the weekend for me along with walking through the crouds bumpng into people you might not have seen for ages.... Great stuff, keep it coming!!!!:

Had a great day yesterday, saw a lot of great bands that i had never heard of before will come again !

Hi, I am a train driver based at Faversham, every year the event seems to get better and better.

I am a local resident and attend the festival every year with my family. We all had a terrific time again this year and thought it necessary to say thank you and provide some feedback on some of the attractions:
(the Victorian time travellers) were brilliant! They guided our children around the exhibition talking and singing about the old photographs and old Faversham! The photos were beautifully displayed and a free book for each visitor - lottery money well spent!

Wonderful beer - Daddy (me) had the responsibility to try various local beer and once again Hop Deamon came out on top! Very good beer and in plentiful amounts.

Music - Several stages meaning everyone could enjoy something and no one area was over crowded.

Steam Train - I took my youngest to see the Spitfire train in the station and that was a delight too; enthusiasts ranging from amateur to the most senior followers enjoyed this majestic visual and audio treat!

I visited the Hop Festival for the first time on Saturday. It was a great day, parking at Abbey School was excellent. The highlight of my day, and I am an adult, was the Punch and Judy show which was superb and the ladies on the large trolleys.

Went both days and thought it was BRILLIANT!

Another excellent hop festival. Thanks for all your efforts! Having such a vibrant free festival is vital to the community of Faversham.

Had another fantastic weekend at the Hop Festival and have been coming for three years. I moved in with my partner this year and so now being a resident we invited friends etc down for a cracking day out.

Once again a fantastic weekend and you could not but enjoy yourselves well done the town must have done very well and made a real packet. The music was 1st class and after all was what people come to see and hear, apart from the beer.
